    Sagareshwar Beach has one of the best shorelines in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. The magnificent Sagareshwar BeachπŸ–πŸ– has a coastline extending to 3 km. This offbeat destination can be a place to spend some days in complete tranquillity and solitude. Away from the hassle of commercialization, the place gives a fascinating view of nature. Like all other beaches, the views of the sunrise and the sunset at this beach are delightful for the onlookers. 😍🌴

     It lies towards the south of Vengurla beach. To reach Sagareshwar Beach, one needs to drive on the road to Shiroda from Vengurla and turn towards the right at Ubhadanda. The gleaming white sandy dunes can be seen even from a distance. By walking for a short distance and climbing the dunes, one will be at the captivating sandy stretch of Sagareshwar Beach. It is around 4 km from Vengurla.❤

 

       The place can be reached by a few minutes of trekking through the sand as the roads do not extend to the shore. Sagareshwar There is a temple of Lord Shiva famous as Shri Sagareshwar on the Ubhadanda beach. A small temple of Sagareshwar which means Lord of the Sea. The name of the beach is derived from the temple. It is surrounded by a forest of cypress trees. Upon entering which the soul gets a different experience. There are also wooden houses and bamboo huts built for the convenience of tourists.🌴🌴

      If you are in search of a beach for good personal space, this is it. It is clean, tranquil, and has almost no crowd. So much so that there are no food stalls, sports, rides, or activities of any type. It has clean white sand.

HOW TO REACH:  Travelers can visit at nearest railway head at Kudal district and even the closest airport is situated at Goa in the Dabolim region.

Arrivals from the airport or the railway station can hire cabs, private taxis, or jeeps and can travel to Sagareshwar beach. Also, this beach can be visited easily as many buses run from various districts all day.

                                       

        


By Road:πŸš– Vengurla is well connected from Mumbai, Pune, Goa, and Kolhapur via state transport buses that regularly on this route. by road, Mumbai is around 535 km from Vengurla. once you reach Vengurla, Ubhadanda beach is just 3 km away and can be reached by bus or taxi.

By Train:πŸš‡ The nearest railway station to Vengurla is Sawantwadi railway station which is situated about 20 km away. The railway station is well connected to major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, goa, and Ahmedabad. To reach Ubhadanda beach one can take a bus or hire a taxi.

By Air:✈ The nearest airport to Ubhadanda beach is Chipi Airport which is 33 km away.

The other travel option is Dabolim airport, which is 85 km away.

Shree Sagareshwar temple: Located on the shore of Ubhadanda beach is the temple of Shree Sagarehwar, the god of seas, yet another deity of lord shiva. this temple is renowned to be one of the most ancient Shiva temples in the region. no matter how hot or humid the atmosphere outside is, once you get into the temple, it is quite cool. the holy place surrounded by Suru trees and is a ‘must visit’ for all those who want the blessings of lord shiva while experiencing the serenity the place has to offer.🌊🌊



Vengurla lighthouse: 3-4 km to the south of the Ubhadanda beach is Vengurla lighthouse situated on a mountain. watching the blue waters and silvery sands of the beach from this hilltop can be quite an experience and is definitely worth a snap or two.

 


STAY & FOOD:πŸ’’There are quite a few cottages managed to MTDC and resorts where you can stay comfortably.

Restaurants provide delicious kinds of seafood which are made in local styles.  In vengurla ( very close to Sagareshwar) you will find many budget-friendly hotels which serve authentic Malvani seafood.

The rates will change in seasons like Summer and the Ganapati festival. If you come here to Ganapati try delicious Modak. In summer get fresh cashew nuts from the Vengurla market.

Food

Food at this place predominantly reflects a mix of Maharashtra and Konkan cultures and often comprises rice and fish, though other varieties of seafood and chicken items are also available.

VISIT SEASON:

      There is no best time to plan a trip but it is better to visit a place considering its climate. The best time to visit Sagreshwar Beach starts in the month of October and continues till May.

     This beach is not swimming friendly but perfect for beachside relaxation and suntan. So get bring some comfortable mats and chill at the beachside.🌊🌊

you will see the huge stretch of shiny silvery dunes. By trampling the sand under the foot, a short walk, climbing the dunes, and lo behold you are at the sparkling beach and crystal blue waters of Sagreshwar. 
    Strolling through the sand with waves playing with the feet; it's a decent affair. Mess around with little crabs circling the Sagareshwar shoreline, finding the closest gap to cover up into.🌊
